My Nother’s Voice
by Leo Zbancă
Moldova | 2023 | In development
Synopsis
The mother’s voice is the first voice that we get familiar with in our mother’s womb. But this can also be the first voice who brings you down. My mom is Moldovan, Christian, and anti- LGBT. I am a 37-year-old transgender person and LGBT activist. My mom lives in the USA and I live in Chisinau. We mostly communicate via voice messages. Almost every time I am afraid to listen to those messages because I never know if she will curse me or just ask how I am.
